Brand New BMW X1 and X3 Comparison


The 2017 Brand New BMW X1 comes with the 2.0 L TwinPower engine that produces up to 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The BMW X3 has a similar 2.0 L TwinPower engine that generates a maximum of 240 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Both of these turbocharged engines have an I-4 layout that’s optimized for powerful performance. Additionally, the X3 35i model can be equipped with a 3.0 L V6 engine that has a peak output of 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque. All of these engines are paired with the eight-speed STEPTRONIC automatic transmission, which includes the Sport and Manual Shift modes.

Both of these BMW crossover SUVs offer the Lane Departure Warning, which is useful for making safe switches in lanes on the highway.
